I got laid off over a year ago. It has taken the company that long to make the decision to lay off the rest of the Purchasing Assistants and Buyers. This is not a small group at a company of their size, a few of which are friends of mine. I knew people were in trouble as soon as rumors of a take over began, but the amount of detriment it has caused is immeasurable -- in my life alone.
To us it brings new life challenges, to them -- "That Was Easy."
How many are we taking about this go-round?
ReplyDeleteWell, the department was 100+ strong when I left and it sounds like within a year they will all be gone. Oh, and that is just at the Broomfield location. Take into account that there were/are over 20 divisions nation wide with Buyers as well.
