Reluctant as I was to see the new Star Trek movie, I gave in and rented it. I wish that I had had faith enough to see it in the theatre as I thought it was amazing. There was little that I disliked about it and my Trekkie geekdom ruled throughout. This is a movie I will one day own. I wanted to stand up at the end and clap (as I said, geekdom ruled).

Morning After Pill
Today I am (once again) frustrated and a disappointed, though not as much as I could be mind you. I am embarrassed to live in a "blue state" and can't believe the number of libtards that surround me. I get jazzed when I go to the voting booth and feel privileged and honored to be able to do so, but the end result is not nearly as thrilling.

Hooray for Me!
Today, October 25 2010, I payed the last installment of a loan I took out to pay my 2008 federal taxes.
I fear I'll be in tax trouble again this year despite having an additional $100 per paycheck being withheld.

I Ran the Numbers
I got into something of a heated debate over federal taxes this weekend. Specially what tax cuts expiring will cost me.
Bush tax cuts expire: 1180
Obama Making Work Pay expire: 800
Tax Extenders: A wild guess here would be 100.
If the lame duck congress does nothing, my tax lability will increase $2080.
